I take a holistic and collaborative approach when providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. I believe that it can be difficult to manage and cope with life’s hardships such as anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and challenges within our interpersonal relationships. I enjoy working from both an attachment-informed and trauma-informed perspective to help my clients process difficult emotions. I value the uniqueness of each person and tailor therapeutic approaches to best fit individual needs.
As a therapist my goal is to help make these overwhelming feelings more manageable by providing guidance with empathy, compassion, and non-judgemental listening. I have experience working in settings with a variety of clients who present with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders and gender related issues.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope in your personal, interpersonal or professional life, please know you are not alone. I am committed to providing ongoing support in hopes of connecting you to inner resources which lead to meaningful change.

We all share in common that throughout our lifetime, there will be times of challenge. For some the difficulties may occur early on in their life. For others, having to face adversity at middle or later stages. Life is a journey that leads us down many roads; some are ones we have chosen for ourselves while others are beyond our control.
How we adjust, adapt and cope with these challenges is at the heart of my work with you. We all have experiences that may not go exactly as planned, when our automatic strategies for coping are no longer adaptive or working well. It is in these situations that we can benefit from sitting with a therapist to bring forward the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are troubling to us… and this is where I come in.
My approach is to work collaboratively with you, as you ultimately are the expert on your own life and experiences. My goal is to help you to find ways to feel supported as you find the road that gets you through to a better place. When people experience a crisis or a difficult time in their life, the feelings most often reflected are overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, depressed and even out of control. My work is to help you to talk about what is happening, bringing out your thoughts and feelings rather than keeping them stored up inside. Once we can really look at what you are feeling and thinking, we can also begin to turn them around, like a prism, reflecting different light and colours with each turn. Through this process of turning the problem, reflecting on the different angles, your perspective and feelings can change.
My private practice has been shaped by my training in a variety of theoretical and treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), attachment based/Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I practice from a trauma-informed, holistic perspective and offer a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore what’s most important to them.

I believe that every individual holds the potential for growth, healing and meaningful change. In my work with individual adults, couples and families, I take a strengths-based, collaborative and client-centered approach to psychotherapy. I recognize how relationship challenges, life transitions and emotional distress can deeply impact us - and I am here to support you through it. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, depression or navigating the complexities of an eating disorder, I aim to walk alongside you with empathy and care. My goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, supported and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.
With over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve provided services through several local organizations, including; Family Services Ottawa, the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre, the City of Ottawa’s Employment and Social Services, and the Well - a non profit program supporting vulnerable populations.
Rooted in both attachment-informed and trauma-informed frameworks, my approach is always tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. Together, we can work toward processing difficult emotions, building resilience and fostering lasting change.
I would be honoured to explore whether we’re a good fit as you take the next steps toward healing and personal growth.
